It's September 1, 1939. World War II has just be announced. A young man who is only 15, lies to gain the ability to fight for his country. Boys or men who were medically unfit sometimes committed suicide cause they couldn't fight for their country. What am I getting at? We all have days when we don't want to do anything. I don't want to get up from this chair and do those dishes so my house can be clean and keep my family in good health. BUT...at least I have legs to get up and do those dishes. I have hands and can do those dishes. I AM ABLE. Looking at things in life in this way when we don't want to do them, is good for us. It has helped me a lot. It puts things into perspective. I take SO much for granted. Like my acceptable health (which is only acceptable on my own bad choices). I can hear, I can see, I can talk, I can walk. I can function. I will choose to look at life in an optimistic and grateful way.
