A Love Like His

Back in August of 2021, my brother told me that there was a guy interested in me. One of my first questions was, "Are you sure he's not thinking of Bethany?" (fake name for my sister ;) ) I thought Bethany would be the first pick always. She's the prettiest girl in our family. But no, he wanted to ask me out. And I thought, "What would make him want to do a thing like that?" "What's so special about me?".
God loves us. Even though there is nothing to love. We deserve the absolute worst and yet God sacrificed His only Son. Turned His back on Jesus and let Him die. For me. I fail Him every single day and yet He is merciful and forgiving. I'd say that takes a lot of love. We ought to thank Him every day for His love and mercy toward us. He could choose not to, he could turn His back on us if He wanted to. But His Word says, "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.". Praise God! His mercies are new every morning!
That is well said. I think if more people were humble and grateful for God's love and mercy, this world would be a different place!
