How to Deal with Those "Pity Me" Days

We all have those days when we think "Woe is me. Nobody likes me. I'm useless. I'm not good looking, or skinny, I have the worst acne you've ever seen." Probably not those words exactly. but basically a pity party. I get that way a lot. And then it's like God slaps me in the face and helps me remember that there are people out there with way worst problems than me. I am probably more fortunate than they are. I'm not saying your problems are non existent. We all have problems. It just helps to realize that we have it good with all that we have. All the things we take for granted, that some don't have. Like, family, friends, clothes, shelter, food. I was on my way to work the other day and I saw a man with his son on the highway it was freezing and they looked like they had just lost their home. The father kissed his son on the forehead as all the cars drove by, myself included. If I could have stopped to give them some money I would have. But there was nothing I could do, but pray. So when you are having one of those "pity me" days, I think the best way to handle it is to remember, someone always has it worst than you. Then, you can pray for them. At least, that's what works for me.
