No Room in the Inn?

Let's be honest...this year has been THE craziest year. But around this time of the year especially, we seem to be really good at staying busy and running around like chickens with our heads cut off. In the midst of it all, we all, if you're like me, seem to lose the most important thing when we get too busy.
Today, in church, we went over the Christmas story, and I know what you're thinking. "Yes, yes, the Christmas story. We all know." I get it. I've heard the story a million times too, but something caught my eye in the reading of this story today. When Mary and Joseph, who were pregnant with the baby, Jesus, they sought refuge in an inn. But their was no room for them in the inn.
What I'm trying to get at is...don't be like the inn keeper. You make room for Jesus in your life. I know it's hard. It really is. When we get so caught up with our busy schedules and events and kids and, dare I say, COVID...it's really difficult to just jump back into our daily walk with Him. Let's find a way, make an effort to take time and make space for our Lord and Savior. He should be our top priority. I want to do my best to rekindle my relationship with God. Life is a journey and it's a wild one, with all sorts of twists and turns and I don't want to be vulnerable to the attacks that are inevitable in this life. So, let's get back into the habit of using each and every breath of life we have to serve Him.
