The Likes of Fear

Fear is like the brakes and gas peddle on your vehicle. It can hold you back or boost you forward. It's hard to know which to choose. It's hard to face your fears, but there is something exciting and freeing about doing so. And it's really not that hard if you always trust that God will take care of you. Anything that happens to you, good or bad, is because God said so. So, why do we fear? The Bible says that fear comes from the Devil. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

One of my favorite verses is, “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31) So, what are we afraid of? Sometime you have to say, "Go away Satan" and ask God to help you do what you know you need to do. Don't be afraid. God is with you every step of the way. He will never leave you nor forsake you. There is peace in knowing that.
