Words Are Priceless

I've felt like a lot of people don't want to listen to what I have to say. Ironically, I chose to write a blog post about it. Words can make or break a person. We should choose our words very carefully. I was watching this video on what to do if people don't want to listen to you or they seem annoyed with you. The answer is simple...toxic relationships destroy. If your friends/family don't want to give you the time even for the little things. It's best to step back. Don't talk. Show them that your words are worth something. If they want your wisdom or opinion, they are gonna have to ask for it. You can't just spend your words on someone who doesn't want them. It's like giving someone a gift and then they reject it. Possibly, in a passive aggressive way, but nonetheless, rejecting. It's hard. But we have to chose who we want to spend our words on. Choose to talk to people who actually take you at face value and are interested in what you have to say. Those are the kind of people that will build you and vice versa. Just thoughts. It hurts when people don't want to listen to how your day went or the things that are exciting for you. A lot of times, we can be all about ourselves. I'm guilty of it too. I think the phone is the worst sometimes. When someone trys to talk to me, if I'm on my phone...I hear them talking, but I'm not actually listening. I've experienced this on the other end. All the time. It does not feel good. It makes me feel like I'm not worth listening to. Which makes me not want to talk at all. So, I need to work on listening to others too. Treat others how you would want to be treated. It's as simple as that.
